Help! My Knife Isn't Working. (Trouble-shooting)

Understanding “Safety Mode”

If you notice the knife blade is loose inside the handle and moves in and out freely, the safety mode might have been activated. To reset the blade, carefully pinch the blade near the spine and flat side to avoid the sharp edge. Pull the blade out completely until it locks into place. Then, press the button backward to retract the blade. Your knife should now be fully operational again.

“Breaking In Your Knife”

At RavenCrest Tactical, each knife undergoes rigorous inspection and testing before it reaches you, ensuring it’s ready for action straight out of the box. To maximize your knife’s performance and longevity, we recommend a brief break-in period. This allows all the parts to settle and work together seamlessly. Just like a firearm that needs around 1,000 rounds before reaching peak accuracy and reliability, your knife will operate at its peak performance once broken in.

When you first receive your knife, deploy and retract the blade frequently. If the knife enters “safety mode,” simply reengage the blade and continue the process. After a few days of regular use, your knife will be perfectly broken in and ready for your everyday tasks.
