OVERVIEW
Form meets function.
The Zhànshì (Warrior) OTF Knife is a full size fully automatic double action OTF (out the front) Knife that comes standard with CNC aviation aluminum handles. The all CNC construction of the Zhànshì makes for a precision fit & finish not only on the exterior of the knife but also on the inside operating components as well. Aviation aluminum is strong, lightweight and elegant in appearance and feel.
Perfect in every way.
When it comes to a hard use tool like the Zhànshì (Warrior), ergonomics are everything. The Zhànshì’s handle shape strikes the perfect balance of form and function becoming an extension of the operator when in use. The Zhànshì (Warrior) fits comfortably in forward, reverse, and scythe grips. The modern “Tire Tread” textured grip on the handles keeps the knife firmly seated in your hand while performing chores. Jimping is strategically placed around the handles to give you added grip while your fingers are wrapped around the knife. The curved Tanto blade in the Zhànshì is stunning and reminiscent of a traditional Japanese Tanto blade with a few modern enhancements including jimping along the spine of the blade and sharp lines leading into its armor piercing point.
Details that matter.
Inside the Zhànshì (Warrior) OTF knife, you will find our new dual spring technology where two springs give the Zhànshì its authority and consistency while firing. We have also redesigned the button (trigger) for better grip and position when deploying the blade. The button features sharp details and smooth action while being less obtrusive in your pocket. The Zhànshì’s pocket clip makes for a fast draw and easy retrieval whenever you need to put it to work. Other fine details include a “battle tested” glass breaker and sleek screw design to complete the Zhànshì’s distinguished look. The Zhànshì (Warrior) will most certainly please even the most discerning of aficionados.
All RavenCrest Tactical OTF knives are extremely safe to operate and use.
RavenCrest Tactical OTF knives come with a built-in safety that will not allow the blade to fully deploy if anything is obstructing its path. Once in “safety mode” the blade will need to be reset by pulling the blade all the way into its locking position making it fully functional again.
What Is “Select Series”?
“Select Series” knives are premium knives with a focus on fit, finish, materials and attention to detail.

What a amazing knife, extremely light weight and well designed. From the beautiful curved tanto blade, tire tread aluminum handle, to the waved clip and window breaker. You can feel the quality and precision with every press and pull of the button. And it feels lighter weight than my RCT Mini’s. Definitely my new EDC knife, and a must have for any OTF knife enthusiast. By far my favorite RCT OTF knife out of the four I have, thank you Raven Crest.

The blade is phenomenal, came in great condition. Sharp enough to shave out of the box. Lightweight and easy to deploy, harder to undeploy then to deploy, but everything else is to near perfection.

My knife arrived the other day with quick shipping. It came with what seems to be a neoprene bag with drawstring – not a belt pouch like the other models. It operates well, deploys and retracts firmly and quickly every time and the blade is very sharp. It came with an extra (black) pocket clip which is nice to black it out. Unfortunately, there is some play in the blade once it is deployed, left and right as well as up and down. There is also an area on the underside of the handle where there is no coating, almost as if there was a small spur that was coated, and then was broken off and left a bare aluminum half moon. The tire tread pattern does provide a nice grip when handing the knife though. The blade has a great finish everywhere except in the groove where there are machining marks. Overall it is a nice knife that seems to work very well but the finishing leaves something to be desired for a $269 knife

This review will compare the Guardian non-serrated and the RTC-1 Raven half-serrated. These are my first two Ravencrest purchases so my review will be limited to a direct comparison. Before my purchase, the good people at Ravencrest suffered through my many questions with patience and enthusiasm. Both knives arrived in excellent condition and operate as described on the website. If you are the kind of car buyer who appreciates the solid sound of a well-built car door closing then you will appreciate the quality of both of these knives. The action of the RTC-1 Raven is a bit lighter than the guardian. With the RTC-1 it takes less thumb pressure to activate the blade in both directions. The Guardian takes more thumb pressure, maybe because of the dual spring mechanism. I’m hoping it gets easier to activate over time. The RTC-1 Raven is significantly heavier than the Guardian. I would choose the RTC-1 for heavier use. The Guardian is lighter and more comfortable to carry, and action of the blade is more decisive in both directions. Both were delivered with two clips, one black and one silver in color. These knives did not disappoint.

Absolutely love this knife. Bought this and the Enigma and both are part of my EDC. It’s solid, but lightweight and well put together with a very smooth action. If you’re on the fence about purchasing this, don’t be. I’m only upset that I waited so long to get one. I recommend these guys to everyone I work with without reservation.
Will 100% order from them again.
