OVERVIEW
Classics never go out of style.
The RCT-1 Raven Double Action Out The Front Knife features a 440c Stainless Steel blade with a two tone matte black finish. The blade can be quickly deployed with the ambidextrous sliding button. Pushing forward on the button deploys the blade out the front of the handle and pressing backwards on the button retracts the blade back into the handle where it is ready again to be deployed at a moments notice.
Details that matter.
The handle is patterned for non-slip handling in any environment. The metal pocket clip is reversible and can be carried in the button back or button front positions. When clipped into the pocket it has a nice low profile “ride”. The end of the knife features a glass breaker pommel designed to shatter glass or break anything else you might need to in case of an emergency.
All RavenCrest Tactical OTF knives are extremely safe to operate and use.
RavenCrest Tactical OTF knives come with a built-in safety that will not allow the blade to fully deploy if anything is obstructing its path. Once in “safety mode” the blade will need to be reset by pulling the blade all the way into its locking position making it fully functional again.
What is Cerakote?
Cerakote is not a paint. Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including abrasion/wear resistance, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, impact strength, and hardness.

What an excellent OTF. Just opening the box and picking it up for the first time you can tell this is a quality knife. The materials are machined to perfection and the Ceracote finish is amazing. I own a Microtech and Benchmade OTF and this RCT Raven is just as nice if not nicer than both of them. Smooth and fast function on both deployment and retraction of the blade. All OTF’s have some wobble in the blade but this has the least amount I’ve seen. Sharpness of the blade straight out of the box was also great. I researched some reviews and some say this is Chinese made just rebranded. I say there’s no way that’s true. If you know anything about knives this is so far from the truth. As I mentioned before the quality on this is equivalent to knives 2 or 3 times the price from other “big name” manufacturers of OTF’s. I went ahead and ordered another blade so I can switch them out and use it for different tasks (and it was on sale). The included sheath is also a nice quality product. I even thought the additional little touch of adding a small bag of Skittles in the order was awesome. Keep it up RCT you’ll be the go to OTF knife manufacturer I recommend to anyone asking about this style knife. Of course I’ll be ordering different styles as well.

Just started the ravenpac club and the September knife was exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’ve been wanting a good quality knife without spending a lot. When I found raven crest tactical and read about the ravenpac I signed up immediately. I had a hard time trying to pick a knife out so I went with the Pac and trusted it. Was only gonna do it for a short time but with the first knife I received being valued at $69 I was hooked. Funny to think I found out about raven crest through the Flippy knife game on my phone.

Currently I have two knives, the Titan half-and-half serrated spear point tactical which I got about a year ago, and an RCT-1 drop point Tungsten knife which I received last month. I have about three or four other OTF knives, and there is absolutely no comparison between them and the two Ravencrest knives that I have. They are well-made, strong, dependable and the best looking two knives I’ve ever owned. The craftsmanship is impeccable and something that you would expect on a knife costing twice as much or more. The service is great and the delivery time is great. Thank you for a great product.

Ordered this for a birthday gift and the engraving was mis-spelled. I emailed customer service and while I never got a response, I did get an email with a tracking number. You guys corrected the screw up plus sent a spare non engraved blade. To say I was impressed doesn’t cover it. Top notch. I was able to swap the blade, wrap the box and save the day. This is the 3rd knife I’ve ordered from you guys. I have a more expensive brand too, but for the money and warranty I love the ravencrest. I will say, it would be awesome if you folks could shave some weight off of the economy lines. ;). But a great knife either way. I’d like to see options for ordering individual parts, I thought they used to be for sale on the website. Bottom line…. GREAT KNIFE for the budget minded individual.

The knife is okay. Nothing too special about it. The grip itself does seem fairly cheap and goes with the rumors of Chinese made I’d believe it. Although it does seem bulky enough to last a while I’m not sure about the finish so far it’s been fine. The blade doesn’t hold an edge too long which I overall expected. The OTF mechanism seems fine as well. I’ve had a few cases where it hasn’t wanted to come out immediately I’m sure from it just being dirty inside from use. Overall though the knife just seems a bit over priced for what it is. Don’t get me wrong it’s not terrible but it’s not great it’s just okay.
